Keeping up with the profession? Holy cow. I’m staging a 3 front attack: RSS feeds, continuing education, and attending professional conferences. Having an actual JOB one day will also be a source of motivation to keep up and keep ahead.

RSS

My Google reader is steadily filling up with feeds from all walks of librarian. Some fave’s:

In the Library with The Lead Pipe (the gold standard, for me)

Digital Buzz Blog (digital trends worldwide)

Information Wants to be Free (How could I not!)

Inside Higher Ed Blog (Barbara Fister)

Library Renewal (electronic library)

Shelf Talk (Seattle Public’s RA blog)

The Unquiet Librarian (school libraries)

Continuing Ed

A good mix of virtual and actual upkeep! I enjoyed your blogs this semester. You have a great writing style, and can add content that hits on the points in a quick and sharp manner.

I, too, think In the LIbrary With a Lead Pipe is the gold standard. I`m happy to have it in my cache.

Sarah, your praise is doubled coming from you, an experienced, hugely capable, wry, and insightful blogger.

You'll notice my hive expansion program does not include twitter, but I will make an exception and continue to look for your tweets : )

I always looked forward to your blogs posts, both here and on your personal blog.

All the best Sarah,

Karla
