Group experience report

This is a reminder to email me your Group Experience Report after you've completed your group project. This is a part of the grade for the final project and it's critical that I receive one from each of you. To refresh your memory:

Your Elluminate presentations on Wednesday 5/5

It's hard to believe, but your Final Project presentations are fast approaching! Each group will be presenting on the social software tool or tools you'd like to implement in your setting this coming Wednesday at 6pm PST. Remember that you're pretending that we're staff and administrators at your library and you're trying to sell us on your idea. Presentations should be no longer than 7 minutes and we'll take questions for a few minutes after each while the next group gets set up.

Sign up for your final project group!

I've posted the names of the project managers on this page of the wiki. There were three volunteers and I picked the other three at random. Just remember that the project manager shouldn't actually be doing more work than the other members of the group. In addition to taking on a part of the project, they will be focused on providing leadership and making sure that the project gets done in a timely manner (so they should take on a somewhat smaller role in actually developing the deliverables).

Final Project: Managers Wanted

For your final project, the class will be broken up into five groups of four and one group of three. Each group will have a project manager who will keep the team on track and provide leadership and vision. I think this will make your project group much more like the reality of the sort of group work we all do in the profession. I also believe strongly that someone needs to take a leadership role in online project groups in order for them to be successful.
