Ever since we started talking about collective intelligence and collaboration last week, I am seeing it everywhere. Today I came across an article in the MIT Sloan Management Review called "The Collective Intelligence Genome". I think it could be considered an article about creating community as well. What do you guys think?

Many of this week's readings got me thinking about Meredith's question regarding possible barries to internal online collaboration in organizations. There are definitely workplace cultures that make it difficult to institute online collaboration tools, and there are others that are open to it, but the implementation is messy and/or ineffective.

I know that this is going to sound a little harsh, but...with on-line internal collaboration, I really end up thinking about what is lost when collaborating virtual. Even with synchronous communication.
