Group Page on Facebook

ryanwade's picture

Hey all,

After seeing the awesome Fauxlibrary Facebook site, I thought that it would be fun if we all had our own Facebook page, so I created one:

http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/group.php?gid=114683551900277

It would be great to have a place to share information after the class.

When you are considering beginning some type of online community it is important to think about your reasons for beginning the community. What goal do you have in mind? What are your needs and wants for the platform you are going to use. There are many different platforms available for creating an online community, if you have a clear idea of what you want your platform to do then you will be more knowledgeable when it comes to deciding which platform to use because you can pick something that fits your requirements.

meredithfarkas's picture

This week, we will have our second Elluminate session on Wednesday from 6-7pm PST. Our guest speakers this week run the most successful online community for optometric professionals with over 12,000 eye care professionals (around 35% of the entire profession) counted as members. ODwire is a closed community for optometrists and other eye care professionals, though it's primarily geared towards optometrists.
