I found an interesting book about YouTube in the Sacramento Public Library system: How to Make Money with YouTube by Brad and Debra Schep. Maybe not the most academic of titles but it has quite a lot of useful information, much of which is relevant to using YouTube to market a library.
They listed some interesting alternatives to YouTube for hosting how-to videos: VideoJug and TeacherTube. Both sites are a good source for how-to videos a library site could reference, besides being a potential place to host a library's own how-to videos. See Mr. Duey rap about fractions.
TeacherTube was discussed in
TeacherTube was discussed in a post earlier in the semester too I believe as an alternative for being able to use videos in elementary/middle/high schools that block YouTube.
I might just have to search TeacherTube for some new songs to play during my "Everybody Loves A Mathlete" radio hour now...

Ok, so now we're getting way off topic, but...have you ever seen any of Word Worms music videos? I love them.
My favorite is called It's a Pup Dog and it was also the first that I saw.
He does not have any about being a mathlete, but you might find something that you like.
Also, for a little shameless promotion, my partner was blogging the other day about David Rovics' kids album (which is really, really fun--both of them, the blog and the album).
And...we were just listening to Kimya Dawson's kids album called Alphabutt, which is pretty great.

I had not seen any of the Word Worms music videos. Great reworking of those old cartoon images. Fun stuff!
Um, Word Worms is amazing!
Um, Word Worms is amazing! How did I not know of this before?
And yes, I do have Daivd Rovic & Kimya Dawson's kids albums. Alphabutt in fact made my top ten ballot as a juror for the Fids & Kamily awards the year it was released. F&K is a great resource for kids music, btw for any of you parents out there. I would plug it even if I wasn't one of the jurors each year.
Well, in the spirit of all
Well, in the spirit of all things awesome captured on kid's videos, I have to share Yo! Gabba Gabba's "Party in My Tummy." I love this not because I have kids (I don't), but because since I watched it the song it never left my mind.
I'm gonna eat, YEAHHHHH! Yummy! Yummy!
Love the word worms!
