LIBR 246-13 Building the Social Library Online

Short and Sweet – that’s how I would describe the screencast I created. Needless to say this experience reminds me of why I did not go into the teaching field. I’m not great at teaching. But I’m glad to have used screencast in this class. I very much doubt I would have tried it otherwise.

I used Camtasia which seemed fairly easy to use but I’m sure there are many features that I have yet to discover. I’m glad to see several posting for other free screencast tools. I think that done well screencast definitely has a place in libraries. I’m going to make it my goal to create a useful screencast this year for some of the teen resources we have available.
