Blawgs

Blawgs are blogs about law related topics.  Since I work at a law library, I thought of sharing a little info about it in case some of you have not heard of it before.  The American Bar Association's ABA Journal has a nice list of recommended blawgs.  Some of the blawgs I subscribe to from this list are The BLT: The Blog of Legal Times; WSJ's Law Blog;

Better grasp on the Blogosphere

For me, the article by Efimova clarified both how community building operates and relationships are bound within the blogosphere. Although I was already aware that the process of community formation is tied to common interests, I found the paradox that lies behind the process striking.  It's interesting to see how personal writing spaces create the conditions for contacts and active interactions with others—merging personal and public spaces into one.

Lifestreaming

Just when I thought I finally understood blogs I found out about a new web phenomenon called “lifestreaming.”  Actually, after surfing the net for more information, it looks like it has been popular for a while, but this was the first time I’ve ever heard of it.  ReadWriteWeb blogger, Sarah Perez, predicts that lifestreaming will soon become more popular than blogs.  S

Blogging & Learning

Blogging will help me remember concepts I’ll be learning in this class.  Secondly, it will give me the practice needed to become a better writer/contributor in most Web 2.0 applications.  With practice, I will become more confident as a blogger/writer (I hope).   I think blogging also fosters open communication and feedback-- two
