I found the University of Arizona's faculty tip sheet for podcasting very helpful to faculty and academic librarians.  I really wish that podcasting was popular while I was in college.  It would have really helped me remember my professor's lectures.  I often wished I recorded my lectures so I can go back to it to clarify notes, etc.  Now, professors can not only podcast their lectures, they can also record other helpful tips and supplemental materials to enhance the student's understanding of the subject being taug

Visual Bookshelf is a Facebook application which allows users to track the books one is reading as well as see what others are reading.  I’ve been using it for a while now and I find it to be a great way to share book reviews with friends and also keep track of what they’ve reading lately

Wikia is a collection of wikis communities various topics that any user can edit ranging from movies and TV, to sports, gaming, anime, health and other topics that people are passionate about. It is supporting over  6000 communities in more than 70 languages. “Part of the free culture movement, Wikia content is released under a free content license and operates on the Open Source MediaWiki software.”

I just read Chris Brogan’s recent blog post, People in the Real World.  I thought it was a great article and related to this week’s topic and maybe even the entire course.
