Visual bookmarking sites

We’ve talked and learned about saving cool articles and websites from the internet through social bookmarking.  Jenna Wortham’s NY Times Technology article, Tag That Image: Visual Bookmarking Sites Worth Browsing explores and briefly profiles visually oriented bookmarking sites such as We Heart It, FFFFound and Vi.sualize.us for those who likes images and visual arts in general.  Wortham acknowledges that these sites are “still light years away from the popularity” compared to Digg and Delicious but it is “steadily gaining a loyal following.”  I am sure that in a couple of months or maybe years, visual bookmarking will be as popular as those sites because there are many people who do not necessarily like bookmarking articles that would love saving images.  These sites are similar to Flickr, but the writer said it has more of an "avant-garde and risqué feel." (By the way, Wortham warns that some of the images on these sites are not safe for work, so proceed with caution when browsing).
