I just heard from Mary Ellen about the dates and times for the Advanced Elluminate sessions:
Each class will last about 90 minutes.
If you'd like to attend one of them, here is a link to the RSVP page for the advanced classes:

The day before, Mary Ellen will send instructions to people who sign up for the class on how to prepare.
Also, if you want to set up a time that your group can do a run-through in Elluminate, just contact our Elluminate Assistant, Mary Ellen and she can set it up for you.
Are those East Coast times,
Are those East Coast times, or LA?
Those are west coast times.
Those are west coast times. I know it's early on Sunday. If there are a number of people that can make a different time/date, we can set up another section.

If you can't make the workshop, here are some more tips on how to learn about Elluminate:
There are a lot of very short, quick training materials here:
http://www.elluminate.com/support/docs/8.0/moderator.jsp
I especially recommend:
Application Sharing (10 minutes)
Web Tour (4 minutes)
Whiteboard: Loading the Whiteboard Content (4 minutes)
If you want to practice your skills before giving a presentation you can use the drop-in center at any time. If you need to be a moderator, you should go when the drop-in center is staffed. How do you know if you need to be a moderator?
Any participant can:
use the microphone,
use the chat,
write on the whiteboard,
application share, and
broadcast from their own web cam.
You will need to be a moderator in order to do the following:
upload slides, move from one slide to another, generate a new blank slide,
start and stop recording the session,
do a web tour (good for showing youtube videos),
transfer files to the participants,
upload multimedia files, and
run a poll.
You can also request a private Elluminate session to practice (and request moderator status as well), either by asking me (this semester), or by following the directions here (next semester too!):

If you have any questions, let me know.
