About Me: I am 26 years old and this is my third semester in the MLIS program! I grew up in beautiful British Columbia (Vancouver, to be specific) and graduated with my BA in History from University of the Fraser Valley in 2005. I moved to Portland, OR in 2006 for school, only planning to stay 2 years. Now, 4 years later, I am living in Vancouver, WA and am newly married! I love traveling (my favorite place so far is Australia), reading, exercising and spending time with family and friends. I absolutely love hot weather, beaches, and palm trees, and my husband and I are hoping to move to San Diego by next summer. I don't currently work in a library, but volunteer at the Concordia University library once a week. I love the thought that technology, specifically web 2.0 technology, can change the face of what we do and how we do things in libraries. I am excited to learn how to apply these technologies to my current situations!
Favorite Books: The "Lord of the Rings" Trilogy, "The Outsiders", anything to do with WWII, "Number the Stars", The Bible, Jane Austen books
