Hey! I am Guillermo from Guatemala! :-)

Hello classmates! My name is Guillermo and I am a 22 years old student of International Relations in Guatemala city, Guatemala.

I started working as a "Founding member" of the Reference Desk (I am the only one who survived the first group of the reference desk!).  Well, the only things I knew about a reference desk where from asking MBA Librarians at Libraries in the US and that was all.  As a matter of fact, the only thing that make me fit for the position was my love for reading, talking and discussing.

Almost two years have passed since the first time I started working at the Library and I became the Reference Desk Supervisor.  In January I became the bibliographer of the areas of Liberty, Political Science, Economy and Philosophy.

Some quick facts about me: I was born in the 80s but got trapped in the 60s.  I have a black French Poodle named Lolita and I am an reader of Objectivist philosophy.  My hobbies are reading, drinking coffee and watching movies.  I am not as adventurous as I will like being but I am in the process of some backpacking trips for 2007.

Here's a link to some pictures of me and my life in Guatemala: Flickr

Here's a link to my blog (some of the posts are in English and some in Spanish): Homo Homini Lupus

I hope learning as much as possible from this course and from now on you may be sure that whenever you decide traveling to Guatemala you will just have to call me and I will arrange some fun trips!

Hi Guillermo! I really liked

Hi Guillermo! I really liked Ayn Rand when I was in high school and college. My political/philosophical views changed after that, but I remember reading everything I could get my hands on by her for a few years. I've been wanting to re-read Atlas Shrugged for a while; I loved it when I first read it.

By the way, if you want to change your username here in Drupal, please feel free to do so. I wasn't sure what name you went by, so you can definitely edit your user name if you would like to.

Hi Guillermo, It's great to
