Choose Your Groups for the Weekly Chat!

As you know, each week you will be taking part in a small group chat. Chat groups will consist of five participants and one facilitator. We will be offering eight groups, all at different times during the week.

You can now sign up for the group you would like to be a part of here on the wiki. Put your name down for the group that best meets your needs time-wise. Please note that once you are in a group, this is the group you will be chatting with throughout the five weeks.

Once a group is full, we will not be able to add additional participants to that time slot. If one of the time slots has no interest or little interest, we may consider changing the time that group is offered.

If none of these time slots work for you, please e-mail us as soon as possible or comment on this post.

Hi,
I see that at least one other person is having trouble with the evening times (the only ones remaining). I am too. I signed up for Group 1, but I already know of at least one conflict. I'd prefer a daytime slot, but, alas, I wasn't quick enough in signing up. (Did I miss something, an email or something indicating we were to do this? Or do I have to set up an RSS feed or something to get these messages? Or plan to check this site daily?)

If there's a movement underfoot to open another daytime slot, count me in..

p.s. how can I get my blog comments to indicate my username rather than "anonymous?"

Hi Jill,

Yes, we sent out an e-mail last week about this. You should make sure that the e-mails are not ending up in your spam/junk folder. But once the course starts, you definitely should be checking the site every day, if only to check the latest blog posts.

You need to be logged into the site for your blog comments to indicate your name. If you're not logged in, your comments will show up as anonymous.

The organizers will be talking this issue over and we'll see what we can do.
