hi everyone, i am a high school librarian in vancouver, canada working in an all girls school. i am interested in 'communication' --wow big topic--. i've been in school for a long time, and so have experienced a lot of the rhetoric regarding technology and learning in the classroom. and, like someone else commented, the real challenge is to be able to come up with concrete examples and applications that are clear and straight forward. i'm really looking forward to learning about the views of librarians in other fields!

I just wanted to use your post as a way to say welcome. I am very happy that we have some school librarians in this course. I think that some of the challenges that school libraries face are very similar to the challenges of public libraries. I hope that both groups learn from each other over the next weeks.
I am sure, being at an all girls school, you have some interesting stories. I grew up in public schools and I have always wondered what it would have been like to go to an all girls school. Well, I wondered and was simultaneously terrified!
