Stumbling Into Wiki World

I'm not sure why, but blogs seem more comfortable to me than wikis.  I've decided to try to create/use a blog for my YA book club as part of my proposal.  However, I've gone ahead and set up a wiki for my own personal/political interests.  I went ahead and used PBwiki which was very easy to get started with. We'll see how that goes!

Also went back and tried Google Reader for RSS instead of Bloglines...haven't decided which I like best, but several in my chat group suggested Google so I'm trying it out.

Blogs are great for book

Blogs are great for book clubs. If you'd like, I found some examples of blogs being used for book clubs / book reviews for a presentation I did. It's here. If you get it going, I'd like to see what the students do. I'm also working with students on a blog and podcast, the vine reader. If you get a chance, I always enjoy (constructive) feedback!

I'm setting up the blog on

I'm setting up the blog on blogger (http://uhsbookclub.blogspot.com/).  Right now there is a link to it on our book club page (http://www.usd116.org/uhs/library/readingclub.htm).  Currently there are no comments because at our next meeting I'll be registering the members of the club and comments will be restricted to members.  I'll have to be sure that there is anonimity.  Our district has had recent criminal predatory issues! and is extremely worried and concerned so we'll see what I can do.

Oh, and thanks for the links.
