Blogging in Joomla?

The past few weeks, one of our listservs at work has been quite active with discussions concerning social software and web 2.0. I've decided it's time to create a blog for us - a better organized fashion of posting what we've learned, articles for each other to read, and our comments on postings - rather than these tedious emails. From what I understand, Joomla (our new CMS) can host a blog, so logically I'd like to set it up within it. If anyone has any experience with blogging within Joomla, could you please share?

One person who I know has used Joomla is our presenter for next week's 2nd Webcast, Jason Griffey. He may be able to answer specific questions you have.

Thanks Meredith. I know of the first Joomla site - they list a few tutorials, one of which I missed but I'm hoping they'll archive it somewhere. I'm looking forward to Jason's Webcast. In the meantime, I'll pick on our Systems folks. :)

Hey gang!
I just found this comment. I have used Joomla to do our very recent library website redesign, but we have not yet done any investigation of the blogging aspect of it. It has a lot of support for blogging, and you can do many things...but I haven't done a ton with it.
For general Joomla stuff, though, especially template modification, I can probably lend a hand. Just let me know.
