Archived Webcasts for Week 1 are online!

For those of you who weren't able to make Nanette Donohue's excellent talk yesterday, the archived presentation is available online. Once we have a Webcast arcihved, the links to it will be provided on the page for that Week. So in this case, the presentation is available on the Week 1 page.

There were a few glitches in the audio due to trouble with the Internet connection at Nanette's place of work (so expect a few silences in the recording), but this ended up being a great presentation that will offer you a lot of food for thought. Nanette really got into a lot of the practical issues many of you have been asking about like what to write about, how to get your colleagues involved, how to deal with comments, how to avoid blog fatigue, etc. She runs three (yes, three!) blogs at her library, so she's really dealt with many of these practical issues.

I think I'm pretty "in the know" about blogs, but Nanette made a lot of great points that I hadn't thought of before and pointed to a number of excellent library blogs I hadn't heard of. No matter how much you know about blogging, there is something to be learned from this terrific presentation.

Thanks so much to both Nanette and Rebecca Hedreen (whose presentation can also be found on the Week 1 page) for their excellent presentations. You both have given all of us so much to think about in terms of implementing blogs in our own libraries! :)
