Today's webcast

Rebecca Hedreen's webcast earlier this evening was very informative for me. I'm one of those people who has tended toward the narrow view of "blog as online diary/journal" (most of the blogs that I've seen have been online diaries). So, I've been grappling with how a blog might fit with me or my place of work/whether it would fit at all. By identifying and providing examples of blogs being used for newsletters, photo galleries or spaces for FAQs, something definitely clicked "upstairs" for me - thanks Rebecca! I am particularly intrigued with using a blog for a newsletter. If you didn't get a chance to participate in the webcast, I would recommend taking a few moments to look over Rebecca's presentation...especially if you are hesitant about blogs.

I wasn't able to attend this

I wasn't able to attend this presentation.  Where would the webcast be posted?  I don't see a link from the week 1 list as of yet.

We've got two recordings of

We've got two recordings of it -- I made one and Tom Peters made the other. I'm holding off a bit on posting mine until I find out whether/where Tom is posting his (mine has a few minutes of extraneous stuff at the beginning, and the screenshots are somewhat annoying because I'm on a Mac).

But it's on its way. If I don't hear anything from anyone by midafternoon or thereabouts, I'll just post mine, and you can at least listen to what went on.

Unfortunately I also missed

Unfortunately I also missed Rebecca's webcast. I am definitely looking forward to checking it out when it is posted later. Currently, I understand that blogs are more than online diaries but have trouble translating that into the workplace. This course has been very informational for me. I'm getting the opportunity to pick up ideas (like the newsletters and FAQs) and look at different formatting examples.
