Michelle Boule

Howdy, my name is Michelle Boule and I currently work as a Social Sciences Librarian, though like many librarians, I do much more than what my job title implies. I juggle the reference desk, teach classes on information literacy (students) and technology (staff), organize open workshops, act as a liason for the African and African American Studies, the Mexican American Studies, and the Asian American Studies Programs at my university, do collection development for the aforementioned subjects, serve on ALA committees, and keep up with the tech world in libraries, all in the same day.

I went to Texas A&M University, Class of 2001, and, realizing no one would hire an English major to do anything else but teach, I attended graduate school at Texas Woman’s University. After receiving my MLS, I landed a job at the University of Houston Libraries.

I write the blog A Wandering Eyre, am a contibutor to ALA TechSource Blog, and I am the Co-Chair of BIGWIG which organizes the LITA Blog.

I am married to my very own rocket scientist who puts up with my crazy ways and keeps me around for reasons undiscovered by modern scientists. We live in the suburbs of Houston, own a house, and have a Nebolish Mastiff puppy named Pullo who will eventually weigh more than his momma. I will read almost anything in book form, love to cook, bake, go camping, and mountain biking. I dislike steamed zucchini, snow skiing, and running.

Wowza...

This course looks awesome (as does your course site). Congrats to you and Meredith and the rest of the team for making this come together. I think it is amazing.

I will be very interested to access the archived material once it's up. Maybe I can get you to cover some aspects of the this great offering on the ALA TS blog ;)?
